A new and stylish bistro has opened at the award winning Mayfair Hotel Adelaide.

Located in the basement level and accessed by the sweeping staircase, THE DEN is a reflection on the hotel's desire to continually innovate the 'Mayfair Experience'.

THE DEN serves simple high-quality bistro dishes in stunning surrounds, suiting everyone from in-house guests, to those seeking informal social get-togethers, to relaxed business meetings. In addition to a full menu, THE DEN will also feature an enticing cake display and of course the very best barista coffees. Private bookings/meetings are welcome.

The menu starts with ‘Something Light’ – think light and crispy Calamari with lemon or Kingfish Sashimi salad with radish and chilli; before moving onto ‘Hand-Held’, with choices including The Mayfair Club Sandwich with confit chicken and streaky bacon, and Steak Sandwich with crispy onion rings, melted cheese and peppercorn sauce. ‘Something More’ features more substantial dishes, ideal for lunch or dinner – such as Crispy Pork Belly with crunchy salad, green mango and Thai dressing or the eye-catching traditional Veal Schnitzel ‘Holstein’ style with fried egg and anchovy. THE DEN is open 7 days a week from 10:00am to 10:00pm.

  • THE DEN will be closed from 2:30pm to 10:00pm on Thursday March 12.
    • Limited seating available in central Basement Bar.
  • THE DEN will trade as normal throughout Easter 2020 Holiday Period.
